On a wet and windy Thursday, Stoke Newington Bookshop was lit up like a beacon for the launch of Ben Aitken’s début novel ‘Dear Bill Bryson’. With a glass of wine in one hand and some delicious cheese in the other, guests were treated to Ben reading from a chapter of his book, in a such a wide variety of accents that I think he surprised even himself. A humorous, quirky book that retraces Bill Bryson’s journey in ‘Notes From a Small Island’, the reading and later Q &A with Milly Unwin, manager at the Plesance Theatre, was full of laughs, gentle heckling and more strange accents!

We are currently the exclusive London stockists for the book so call in for this beautifully produced and side-shakingly witty book.
